Why you cannot change a signed prescription
Version 1 - last reviewed 23 July 2026 by Ahmed Al-Liabi (Superintendent Pharmacist) - next review due 22 October 2026
Once a prescriber signs a prescription, it is legally fixed. Nobody can edit it — not you, not the pharmacy, not even the prescriber.
If something is wrong, the prescriber cancels it or issues a corrected one that replaces it. Your record keeps both, so nothing is hidden.
If something on your prescription looks wrong, contact the clinic through the route it gave you. A prescriber will review it.
